In a close match, the Horned Frogs recorded their second loss of the season against the Kentucky Wildcats today at the TCU Rifle Range. The Wildcats edged TCU by a final aggregate score of 4647-4636. Junior, Erin Lorenzen led the Frogs in both smallbore and air rifle.

The TCU woman's rifle team had two high school recruits sign National Letters of Intent for the 2009-2010 season. The two shooters share a wealth of experience on the national level and hold multiple shooting records, state championships, as well as national championships.

The Horned Frogs rebounded from their previous match with a road win against the Nevada Wolfpack today in Reno. Erin Lorenzen led the team to victory with a dominating performance in air rifle with a score of 592 and a 582 in smallbore. Lorenzen was the top shooter overall in both disciplines.

The TCU woman's rifle team dropped its first match of the season against the West Virginia Mountaineers today in Morgantown. The final aggregate score was 4666-4626. The loss ends the Frog's regular season winning streak at eight consecutive matches. Erin Lorenzen was the high scoring shooter for the Frogs with an aggregate score of 1155.

TCU Rifle Picks Up Road Win

The woman's rifle team came away with a victory today by a score of 4635-4462 against The Citadel. Today's win brings the team's winning streak to eight straight regular season victories. Erin Lorenzen led the team in air rifle with a score of 589, while Lauren Sullivan fired a 578 in smallbore. Both Lorenzen and Sullivan tied with 1164 points on the aggregate helping secure the victory for the Frogs.

The TCU woman's rifle team traveled to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. for the 2008 National Jr. Olympic Championships. The team shot well in both air rifle and smallbore. Erin Lorenzen led the team in both events. Lorenzen's second place finish in air rifle gave her a spot on the National Development Team. This is the second consecutive year that Lorenzen has earned a place on the team.

The TCU Rifle team wrapped up match play at the NCAA Championships, claiming a third-place finish with an aggregate score of 4,627. The Frogs, who were in second place following the smallbore competition on Friday, shot a 2,315 in air rifle Saturday to earn their highest finish in the NCAA championships in school history. Alaska- Fairbanks claimed their third straight National Championship with an aggregate of 4,662, while Army came in second with a score of 4.652.
